If you have a close friend or family member who is expecting and you want to throw a baby shower for them, here are some great hints that could be quite helpful to you.
One of the very first things that you need to do is to create a list and organize it, if you require some help to get the list straight then get into contact with the expecting moms parents. When the guest list is completed you will have an idea of how many guests will be attending – just like old gifts. Making it easier to have a good estimate of how much food, drink, and party favors are needed.
There is an endless number of games that can be played that are listed on the Internet. They are simple games that can be played using common household items. All of the guests will get into the baby shower mood by playing these games. One of my favourite baby shower games is to have the guests estimate how many sheets of toilet paper the expecting mothers belly is. The results will be surprising, which is similar to party favors to many people. Everybody like to play the baby shower games, people will start talking to each other and they help people get into the baby shower mood.
The big event at the baby shower is when the expecting mom opens the gifts for the baby. Every woman loves to watch because it is so exciting being able to view all of the tiny outfits and baby items. These generous gifts help the expecting mom with the first couple months of the baby’s life, anybody who has children knows how much of an expense it is. If the baby’s sex has been announced this will make the gift giving much easier for guests but if it has not bee announced then be sure to stress to the guests that unisex items would be best. It would also be a good idea to have to expecting mother to register at some online stores or retail stores, or new gifts occasionally. This can make life a lot easier for many guests.
