Those who've undertaken the task of decorating the nursery in this age of online information know that a delightful job can soon become daunting because of the amount of choices. It can be overwhelming for new parents with all the different possibilities available to them. Even though there are different cultures and styles within unique cultures, there is one theme that crosses all these boundaries.
One enduring popular nursery theme around the world is butterfly crib bedding. These gentle, fluttering creatures, (not unlike human offspring) which pass through different stages of life from wriggly babies to magnificent, fully formed beings have a cross-cultural appeal which is quite understandable. It is hard to ignore that butterflies remain one of the most lovely species in the animal kingdom.
Baby girl bedding pink and green decorated with a butterfly theme frequently is found in a blend of luscious pastels and can be further accentuated with big butterfly appliques interchanged with floral or dragonfly designs. Prints containing winged monarch designs combined with floral or animal pictures, may be available on some textiles. These are all possibilities in a feminine nursery that will provide a friendly atmosphere for your baby girl to “talk” to before sleep.
While you are shopping make sure you get easy to wash textiles that will last, and don't forget your local temperatures as a southern climate has little need for a really thick heavy weight comforter when choosing your baby's baby bedding sets. Get the linens in matching ensembles, and make sure to enter your possible purchase at consumer reports or another such site to find out whether it adheres to the latest safety regulations.
Butterfly bedding is truly unusual and will offer your baby many insights about growth and change in life. If you have a friend with excellent penmanship, have him or her write in script all along the wall the various words for butterfly in a multitude of languages. To state an example, a “papillon” in French is like a Spanish “mariposa” and a German “schmetterling” would mean a “farfalla” to his Italian neighbor.
One idea that will give the appearance of leading into a garden or perhaps the woods would be to use a mural for one of the walls. Wanting to decorate their ceiling with blue skies and fluffy white clouds, they will often paint it themselves or get someone to do it for them. You are having a baby! So go for it as you design your new little one's nursery.
